Bunnies
is a fun, adult-interactive class for toddlers to
help build physical skills, self-esteem and
teamwork. Toddlers and parents will explore basic
soccer and movement activities to develop gross
motor skills.
At this developmental stage, providing repetition
and sensory activities is the best way to teach
children new skills because it captures their
attention and allows them to put new information
into a context they understand. Sensory activities
are important because toddlers are still in the
stage of thinking with their senses and learning
through direct interaction with their environment.
Revealing new information to children by using
colors, bubbles, textured balls, songs and other
tools that activate the senses allow the children to
use their bodies to interpret new information. Once
they have had exposure, they need repetition to
solidify learning. Much like reading your child’s
favorite story for the 100th time, the repetitive
actions are never boring to your child.
Parent’s Role: At this stage, children
still need a significant amount of 1on1 attention. A
parent’s active participation is vital to the class
success. When parents join in their child’s play it
helps develop creativity, language skills, sharing,
self-control and problem solving. When a parent
responds to a child’s learning with joy and cheers,
the child will want to continue to play and discover
new things. Encouraging your child to try and
focusing on their efforts will create a winning
situation for everyone. Most of all, we encourage
you to really engage your child and have fun!!!
Classes include parachute activities, bubbles, lots
of goal scoring and the famous cone towers to help
stimulate learning. Classes are 50 minutes long with
a child-to-coach ratio of 15:1. Adult
participation is required. |
